This page explains how to apply for a place at our school whether at nursery, reception or if you wish to join later on an in-year transfer. It’s a good idea to arrange a tour of the school so you can meet our friendly staff and get a good feel for the place! Ask us what we have to offer and tell us a little bit about your family and what’s important to you.
If your child isn’t old enough to start school yet, you can still register an interest at the school by contacting the school office.
Applying for a place in reception
Applications for a place in our school from reception are handled by Kirklees Council through their school admissions process.
Children start reception year at primary school from the September after their fourth birthday, although by law children don't have to start school until the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday.
If our school is over subscribed, our Admissions Policy (see below) will be used to decide which children are admitted. Our policy is determined by the Together Learning Trust.

Applications can be made from this date. All applications must be made online.
1 September 2025
This is the closing date for your applications. Remember that a late application can severely reduce your chances of obtaining a place at your preferred school.
15 January 2026
Parents/carers can log on to the Kirklees parent portal from 08:30am to see their offer of a school place and an email offer will be sent during the day to the email address the parent/carer used when submitting their application.
16 April 2026
20 May 2026
The last day for requesting an appeal for starting in September 2026
June 2026 onwards
Appeal hearings take place.
